The story of MéMé BaNjO begins in 1992. Committed to a fine and strong style, Lionel Hoche created its first play Prière de tenir la main courante, which was performed in the Festival International de Danse de Cannes.
“With his dramaturgic, precise and structured language, Lionel gives a great autonomy to his performers. It is an artistic and a human story that nourishes the company’s soul. And the alchemy occurs. Every creation is a new opportunity to have fruitful artistic collaborations, whether musical or plastic. Curious and daring, the choreographer’s creativity is inspired by his own human qualities, which gives to his company liveliness and generosity”.
